It’s finally feeling a lot like spring! Have you noticed how many people are outside soaking it all in? It’s a great time of year to start being a little more active and get some fresh air at the same time.
I always feel like my workout routine gets a little stagnant towards the end of winter; ski season is over, I’m not going snowshoeing and the weather isn’t great for doing anything outdoors. If you’re like me, you need a little reboot. Here are some of the things I look forward to doing most as soon as warmer weather hits:
Walking to work – I’m lucky enough to live about a mile away from work, so walking to and from is pretty easy. If distance isn’t working in your favor, try walking to run an errand or just parking a few blocks away from your destination to give yourself some outdoor time.
Biking- We have so many great bike trails in and around Portland. If you’re in the market for a new bike, the USM bike swap is happening at the end of this month, check out for more info!
Beach time – It won’t be warm enough to swim or sunbathe for a little bit still, but the beach this time of year is great for jogging, walking, Frisbee, football or even (as I saw this weekend) corn hole!
